What is Physiotherapy?

THE HISTORY OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

The History of Physiotherapy is thought to date back to 460 B.C with the physicians Hippocrates, and Galenus advocating physical methods like massage, manual therapy techniques,
exercise and hydrotherapy to treat injuries, disease and disorders.

PHYSIOTHERAPY EDUCATION

Physiotherapy is a university degree-based healthcare profession.  Like other health care professionals, physiotherapist pride
themselves as being evidence based.  To be evidence based implies treatment practices are base on evaluating and
reviewing current research and exercising  clinical judgement and informed interpretation.
