What is an Update Specialist Gym/ Exercise Program?
Function and Form Physiotherapy and Exercise create unique personalised gym/ exercise programs. Exercises prescribed by a Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist. Designed for your individual goals and needs whilst taking into account any specific injuries or areas of concern. The Update Specialist Gym/ Exercise Program begins with a quick review of some of the exercises from the previous program, a review of the injury and exercise assessment, exercise preferences, length of program, and type of equipment available. Then a program is created with completely new exercises. During the second consultation, your new program is demonstrated and recorded as you complete each exercise. Approximately two weeks later there is a follow-up appointment to ensure the exercise execution is on point and to progress the intensity of the exercise if appropriate.
An Update Specialist Gym/ Exercise Program includes:
review of the original Gym/Exercise Program
review of the injury and movement analysis
review of the body composition assessment
individual program(s)
personal training session: program, demonstration & instruction (videoed)

Update One Day Split Program
preview program & re-asessment 1 program 1 pt session 1 review
Each Split Program has a one hour PT session to demonstrate/ participate in the new program, and one hour Pt session a fortnight later to review the program, therefore a 2 day split has 2 pt sessions to demonstrate each of the programs, and 2 reviews to review each of the programs
Update Specialist Gym/ Exercise Program Process
1. Select number of programs required, then book first appointment & purchase program online
Following purchase of the program, you will receive an appointment confirmation email with a link to the Online Form.
If there are any changes to the information previously provided in this form, you please make this additions here.
3. Attend First Appointment - Part 1 Assessment (45 min)
1. Review exercises from your previous program, looking at form, any challenges and the progress achieved. 2. Review your Exercise Plan Form. 3. Review Body Measurements & Photos, including Skinfolds, Circumferences, 4. Review your Injury/ Functional Movement/ Exercise Assessment
4. Attend Second Appointment- Part 2 Exercise Program (60 min)
Approximately 7-14 days later, or longer if you wish, the updated program is reviewed and the exercises are progressed if appropriate in terms of sets, reps, weight lifted, complexity of the exercise etc.
Would you like an additional review of your current program?
Clients may wish to attend additional reviews of their program to master the prescribed exercises and optimise their benefit.
